The Portsmouth city region is the UK’s up-and-coming business and investment location with all the benefits and attractions of a vibrant city.
The geographical area covers four local authorities – Fareham, Gosport, Havant and Portsmouth. They work in close partnership as the Harbour Economic Development Forum to ensure that investors, both existing and new, have the right conditions in place to establish and grow their business within the city region.
Extensive infrastructure and good transport links means that wherever a business is based, it is well connected. The Motorway network provides links to London and the Midlands via the M3. Heathrow and Gatwick airports provide international links and are just 60 miles away, whilst the rapidly growing Southampton Airport serves around 45 destinations and is located only 22 miles away. Portsmouth Ferry Port is the UK’s premier roll-on roll-off port with links to 7 destinations in Continental Europe.
